DSK-ASPHALT WITH SURFACE TREATMENT

DJI_0225.jpg

Economical road surface rehabilitation without cracking with DSK asphalt layers, BiKaFlex-Sami and OB

Here, two familiar working methods are combined with each other - the DSK (thin asphalt surface course in cold construction) with a surface treatment (OB). While the DSK is capable of levelling and sealing the substrate, it has the disadvantage of lacking elasticity. This, in turn, is a disadvantage of the OB, which lacks the properties of the DSK. While a thin layer of asphalt is applied cold with a DSK, the surface of an OB is sprayed with a binding agent and then sprinkled with an aggregate. If these two processes are combined, it can almost be equated with a new surface layer that is levelled, creates a new roughness, can absorb cracks coming from below, i.e. absorbs movements in the material and is therefore much more stress-resistant overall.
